THE POWELL MOVEMENT - KYE PETERSEN

On the latest episode of The Powell Movement’s podcast, Mike Powell sits down with Kye Petersen.

The Pemberton-based big mountain skier, who’s racked up a number of mind-blowing and award-winning film segments to his name, was born to be a skier. His father, Trevor Petersen, was a legendary ski mountaineer, who bagged more first descents with his partner-in-crime Eric Pehota in the Whistler region than anyone else. Growing up, what seemed like a ski fairy tale of a life for Kye all of a sudden wasn’t, when Trevor was killed in an avalanche in France when Kye was only six years old. This episode is the story of a kid, who once had a lot of attitude, finding his way, for the most part on his own. Don’t miss it.
