Grouse Mountain is a helluva a good time: butter up the The Cut with some spring sunshine, and you've got one the best views to terrain park quality ratio in the entire country. We give you our Forecast word of honour.

To help celebrate the glories of spring skiing, Red Bull is bringing SlopeSoakers, a hybrid of slopestyle and pond skimming, to Grouse Mountain on April 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In true spring fashion, the event will feature an on-slope BBQ and a beer garden.

The contest will mark SlopeSoakers debut in Canada. Registration for the event is open, which means you, as long as you're 16 years of age, can participate.

Prizing categories include:

  • Ski Men 1st Place
  • Ski Women 1st Place
  • Snowboard Men 1st Place
  • Snowboard Women 1st Place
  • Best Costume
  • Best Trick Ski
  • Best Trick Snowboard
  • Best Crash

This is the important part: registration is free, but you have to register in advance, which you can do here. For more information, check out www.redbull.ca/slopesoakers.

Keep up with Red Bull on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates on the event, and check out the below cut by filmmaker Graeme Meiklejohn to get your stoke on for Grouse.
