REVELSTOKE MOUNTAIN RESORT TO OPEN FOR SUMMER

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is pleased to announce it will be opening for summer operations on Friday, June 26th. With the health and safety of the resort’s employees, guests, and Revelstoke residents top of mind, the resort has been working with government, WorkSafe BC, local health authorities and the Canada West Ski Areas Association (CWSAA) to ensure its ability to operate in a safe manner.

In conjunction with a revised summer operating plan, Revelstoke Mountain Resort is proud to launch PureClean, a program designed to elevate the resort’s standards for hygiene and cleanliness.

In addition to physical distancing across the resort, new safety measures include a reduction in lift capacity, disinfection of gondola cabins and Pipe Mountain Coaster carts, reduced seating in restaurants and dining areas, installation of plexiglass shields, elimination of touch points, and daily staff temperature checks. The resort has also increased the frequency of sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces and high-traffic areas using cleaning agents recommended by the BC Centre for Disease Control.

“We are excited to welcome guests back to the incredible experiences our mountains have to offer, but we want everyone to feel safe, comfortable and confident while visiting Revelstoke Mountain Resort this summer” says Peter Nielsen, Vice President of Operations. “Our PureClean commitment has been designed to ensure guests remain safe while enjoying all the fun activities the resort has to offer.”

This year’s lineup of summer activities includes a variety of attractions for all ability levels. Guests can take a ride on The Pipe Mountain Coaster or swing through the Aerial Adventure Park and try out the new zipline. Other activities include the Woodchuck 9-hole disc golf course located in the Village Base, sightseeing from the Revelation Gondola, and a 20-kilometre network of hiking trails through alpine and subalpine forests.

Following the popular debut of the resort’s signature mountain bike trail, Fifty-Six Twenty, last summer, Revelstoke Mountain Resort is also excited to announce an additional 18 kilometres of lift accessed mountain bike trails. New trails scheduled to open this summer include two advanced downhill trails and two intermediate blue trails.

This summer, given the wide offering of activities available, Revelstoke Mountain Resort is launching a new Play All Day Pass. This pass offers incredible value with access to all the resort’s attractions, including the Pipe Mountain Coaster, for one great price. And if one day isn’t enough, make a weekend of it with savings of up to 35% off standard hotel rates at The Sutton Place Hotel and Sandman Revelstoke for Canadian residents.
