LOW PRESSURE PODCAST - LUCY SACKBAUER

On the second episode of season eight, the Low Pressure Podcast sits down with Lucy Sackbauer, who’s had quite the year. Based in Ketchum, Idaho, the Vail, Colorado native spent last winter travelling and filming with Matchstick Productions for their latest release, Huck Yeah!, in her first appearance in a major ski film, which needless to say, was quite the opportunity. However after just getting into her groove, Covid-19 arrived on the scene and shut skiing down, which dramatically changed Sackbauer's life and plans as she quickly transitioned into her other job: a front line emergency room nurse.

Sending it into Corbet's Couloir in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

When Sackbauer was 12, she saw her first Warren Miller film, and instantly decided that was what she wanted to do with her life. Until she started watching Grey’s Anatomy, and decided that was what she wanted to do with her life too. Miraculously, she was able to make both happen, which is both incredibly admirable and noble, so be sure to listen to Sackbauer discuss how her childhood aspirations complement as opposed to compete with one another, along with her insightful perspective on battling the pandemic as a nurse, and her ski journey as a whole.

Fighting the good fight.
