FREERIDE WORLD TOUR ATHLETE LINEUP ANNOUNCED

With the Freeride World Tour (FWT) announcing their full athlete roster for 2021, many questions resurface. Will one of the legends regain the title? Will an impressive rookie shock in their maiden year with a win? Or will one of the wildcards prove their inclusion and take the trophy. Only the world’s best big mountain athletes can answer these questions as they get primed for the 2021 FWT season.

48 athletes in four categories—seven snowboard women, nine snowboard men, eight ski women and 24 ski men—will fight to lift the trophy as the FWT champion. But the highly diverse field from all reaches of the globe guarantees this won’t be an easy feat. And surely last year’s world champions—Marion Haerty (Women’s Snowboard), Nils Mindnich (Men’s Snowboard), Arianna Tricomi (Women’s Ski) and Isaac Freeland (Men’s Ski)—aren’t ready to let go of the freeride side of the sports’ most valuable prize.

Athletes will need to be on point from their very first turn. And with the cut now at the third stop, only four snowboard women, six snowboard men, six ski women and 13 ski men (for a total of 29 riders) will get the opportunity to compete in the last two stops and the chance to stand on the podium.
