Having never tried a ski from Line before, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I clicked into the Blade Optic 104 for the first time. Its top sheet graphic has a rally car-like look to it, and that’s not where the similarities end. As a result of its flex pattern and reactive sidecut, this ski hammered through bumps, trees and big airs, and would open it up on groomers without skipping a beat. I found it liked to go fast, and was amazed at how controlled it felt at high speed. I would recommend the Blade Optic 104 to an intermediate to advanced skier who’s looking for a rock solid all-mountain ski, as it only took me one run to decide that I loved it, but it kept steering me right back onto the lift for another. —KELLEY HUMPHERYS
