Switchback Entertainment's Salomon Freeski TV, one of the most critically-acclaimed, popular and profound web series in skiing, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. To commemorate the milestone, Salomon is launching a slick new format and shortened name for the series, Salomon TV. For more details, check out the press release below, and the heart-pounding trailer above.
From Salomon TV:
Ten years ago we introduced Salomon Freeski TV, then added Salomon Running TV shortly thereafter. We’ve delivered episodes that range from trail running in Papa New Guinea to the 2015 award-winning total solar Eclipse freeskiing episode in the arctic circle. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, we’re bringing the kids together to form one channel — Salomon TV. To create this season’s content, we’ve sent a crew of Salomon freeski athletes to British Columbia, explored the Italian Alps, went on an expedition with Kilian Jornet in Norway, and took another lucky fan on his Salomon “Dream Trip”. And that wasn’t even the big one.
In November, one of the most ambitious expeditions in the decade-long history of the Salomon TV franchise will debut. That episode follows a team of Salomon freeski athletes and renowned glaciologist Professor Alun Hubbard, PhD, on a 19-day ski/science expedition to a basecamp on the Greenland ice sheet. Not curious yet? Watch the trailer for a glimpse of what’s to come this season.
