MOUNT BRENNAN NORTH COULOIR DESCENT

Three hours between walls on three hours sleep. Watch Sweetgrass Productions' Nick Waggoner and our Associate Editor Matt Coté slow creep their way down this 50-degree, 1,200-metre sliver off the north side of Mount Brennan in British Columbia’s Selkirk Mountains. The foot-powered, ice-tool and rope-mandatory mission took 16 hours to complete. It’s only the second known time the couloir’s been skied since Steve Ogle, Cam Shute, Nelson Rocha and Troy Swanson did what’s believed to be the first decent this same time last season, in a much speedier 15 hours.
