DRONES AT 8611 METRES
Two years ago this week, a team of five, lead by legendary ski mountaineer Andrzej Bargiel, took on climbing and skiing the world's second highest mountain, K2, to battle against nature’s odds as they navigated their climb and ski routes using a drone. Before the expedition, Bargiel’s brother, drone pilot Bartek Bargiel, never thought that his drone would be used to save lives. Bartek believes that what transpired has served as groundbreaking research in understanding the capability of drones, and how they can be used to help other climbers and skiers conquer the world's deadliest mountains and routes more safely.
