Delilah Cupp & Celeste Pomerantz - Subtle

Filmed in British Columbia and the North Cascades, Subtle follows Celeste Pomerantz & Delilah Cupp as they navigate the thrills and challenges of backcountry skiing and filming together. From first-time pillow lines to steep couloirs and big mountain descents, the film captures the range of terrain that defined their season while showcasing their distinct skiing styles. Delilah grew up near Washington Pass, and Celeste in the Sea to Sky region, offering a glimpse into the unique landscapes that shaped each of them.

At its core, Subtle is about connection, both on and off the snow. Celeste and Delilah’s differences as athletes and individuals create a unique contrast, revealing moments of trust, resilience, and shared joy. Through a multimedia approach, the film offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at a season spent in the mountains and the effort it takes to bring a shared vision to life.
