This past weekend in Whistler, Uprising, a photo competition presented by Origin, Fairmont Chateau Whistler and Tourism Whistler, took place, and offered a new take on what was formerly known as the Deep Winter Photo Challenge, with all proceeds going to Protect Our Winters Canada. Five teams of two photographers participated, and in the end, pro photographer Erin Hogue and her teammate, up-and-comer Vince Emond, walked away with the win via the People’s Choice Award. Together, the two documented badass and incredibly inspiring mountain moms over the course of three consecutive days in Whistler, capturing what moms, new moms and even pregnant women are capable of on the slopes.
