The World’s Biggest Summer Ski Competition Returns To CopenHill

The Scandinavian Team Battle is back for its sixth edition, bringing world-class skiing, heavy tricks, and unmatched summer energy to the iconic dryslope at CopenHill on June 13th, 2026.

Recognized as the world’s largest ski competition on artificial surface, Scandinavian Team Battle once again transforms Copenhagen into a freestyle playground, where some of the sport’s most exciting riders will throw down on a specially built slopestyle course in the middle of the city.

With packed crowds, long summer daylight, and a course designed for progression, creativity, and big moments, this year’s edition is shaping up to be the biggest and most spectacular yet.

A Format Built for Action
The event features seven national teams, each made up of two skiers, competing in a fast-paced, team-based format where style, chemistry, and creativity matter just as much as technical ability.

Each duo rides the course together, pushing the limits with synchronized lines, unique trick combinations, and crowd-pleasing stunts. Expect huge airs, unexpected moments, and high-energy runs that keep both judges and spectators locked in from start to finish.

A Stacked International Lineup
One of the biggest names in freeskiing, Jesper Tjäder, is set to return to Copenhagen after missing last year’s event due to injury. This summer, the Swedish superstar is back and ready to take on CopenHill once again.

Jesper will be chasing yet another chapter in Scandinavian Team Battle history and go for Team Sweden’s fifth victory at the event.

But the road to the top won’t come easy.

The returning favourites will face serious competition from teams representing Denmark, Norway, Finland, the United Kingdom, and, for the first time ever, Canada—setting the stage for another intense showdown between some of the world’s most stylish and uncompromising freeskiers.

Open Qualification Rail Jam
Think you have what it takes to ride against the pros?

Scandinavian Team Battle will once again host an open qualification Rail Jam on the day of the event, giving local riders and upcoming talent the opportunity to earn a spot in the main competition.

The qualification takes place on a smaller setup and is free to enter. The top two riders will qualify directly for the main event and win VIP tickets to both the competition and the official afterparty. Additional prizes will be up for grabs throughout the day.

Whether you’re a local rider or visiting Copenhagen for the weekend, this is your chance to become part of the show.

More Than a Ski Competition
“Scandinavian Team Battle is about much more than skiing on plastic—it’s a celebration of ski culture, the city, and the local community,” says Jakob Ebskamp, event organizer and skier for Team Denmark. “I’m beyond stoked to once again welcome some of the biggest names in the sport to my hometown.”

Beyond the competition itself, the event delivers a full-day festival atmosphere with bars, food stalls, pop-up shops, and activities for both riders and spectators.

And when the skiing ends, the party keeps going.

The day closes out with a live concert and a major afterparty at the top of CopenHill, where the energy continues long into the night.

Scandinavian Team Battle is, in every sense, the perfect mix of ski culture, summer atmosphere, and Copenhagen city energy.
