Ski-BASE Jumping Icon Erik Roner Passes Away in Skydiving Accident

Ski-BASE jumping icon Erik Roner passed away earlier today in a skydiving accident in Lake Tahoe, California. Roner starred in countless action sport videos during his career, shooting with the likes of Teton Gravity Research, Nitro Circus and his own show, Roner Vision.   

Since learning of Roner's passing, we took some time to revisit a handful of our favourite videos from his illustrious career. This video of Roner paying tribute to the late Shane McConkey came to mind. It's a reminder straight from Roner to celebrate your loved ones and what brought them happiness during their time on earth. 

Roner is survived by his wife and two children. Everyone at the Forecast team extends their hearts to the Roner family at this time.
