SISTER SUMMIT RETURNS

The first 100 per cent female backcountry event and contest, Sister Summit, is back for a second edition and this time with two summits. From November 24th - December 1st, 2023 in Revelstoke, B.C. and April 1st - April 7th, 2024 in Engelberg, Switzerland, Sister Summit will bring together the top female skiers and snowboarders for a week of riding by day, and workshops by night, with an all-female media crew to film and photograph the week.

TWO SUMMITS
Two summits for twice the impact hosted in two first-class destinations with 20 of the world’s best athletes at each destination, all gathering together for one goal: equality. At Eagle Pass Heli in Revelstoke, the athletes and filmmakers will focus on big lines, heli-assisted ski touring, pre-season freestyle skiing and riding. At Ski Lodge Engelberg, they will explore big lines, mountaineering, touring and end-of-season freestyle.

Both summits will include the Rookie Series and Speaker Series. Three rookies will be invited to each summit: two skiers, two snowboarders and two filmmakers for a total of six rookies for Sister Summit 2.0. Stay tuned to Sister Summit’s social media channels for contest opening dates. The two Speaker Series will include globally recognized scientists, female activists, business leaders, health and wellness practitioners and mentors to gain knowledge in empowerment, yoga and meditation, ecofeminism, women’s rights, negotiation strategies, brand identity, diversity, environment and nutrition.

Each summit will have also six mountain guides to support and educate the athletes about avalanche awareness, snow safety and mountain knowledge.

THE OUTCOME
A new component of Sister Summit 2.0 will debut this year: a Global Report, which will focus on our three pillars: equity, diversity and sustainability. Two round table discussions will be hosted at both summits. The discussions will find guidelines and recommendations about equity, diversity and sustainability for the industry by creating a report for the end of the season. Keep an eye on Sister Summit’s social media channels to learn how to join the discussion.

The Sister Summit contest is like no other. Created by women and for women, the “True Sister Award” will be given to the most collaborative, supportive and badass skier or snowboarder. This is a peer-judged competition, with the belief that collaboration is a new competition.
