Salomon Unveils All-New QST Ski Collection
Earlier today, our friends at Salomon announced the launch of its redesigned 2025/2026 QST collection, the fourth generation of a beloved series of skis that has been setting benchmarks for freeride versatility since 2016.

With an exciting, innovative and fresh approach to shape, design and construction, the new QST lineup delivers premium elements shared across all models, with each delivering exceptional performance for skiers of any ability. The new QST range also features unisex graphics, launching two colour options for each model, available in the full size range.

Back in December, we at Forecast were lucky enough to be invited to the Salomon Mountain Collective, where we had the opportunity to visit the impressive facility that is Salomon’s Annecy Design Center (ADC) in the heart of a lakefront city that’s known as the gateway to the Alps: Annecy, France.

At 36,000 square metres, the ADC is home to over 500 employees, who tirelessly tinker and toil to design, prototype and test Salomon’s wide array of mountain-focused products, such as skis, snowboards and footwear—three categories that Salomon is deservingly seen as a global leader in.

After receiving a presentation on the new QSTs, alongside Salomon’s entire ski collection for the winter of 2025/2026, we were given a captivating tour of the ADC, during which we were shown how Salomon’s hard-working and passionate employees build and test skis, boots and bindings.

From there, we were whisked away on a scenic road trip along the shores of Lake Geneva to a remote and rustic ski resort in the western part of Switzerland, Arolla, which is equipped with a series of aging poma lifts in lieu of chairlifts and/or gondolas.

A snowball’s throw from the resort’s base area, Salomon had rented out an entire traditional Swiss lodge for the Mountain Collective gathering, and the brand’s stacked roster of athletes—including the likes of the Blank Collective Films crew, The Godfather of Freeskiing Mike Douglas, Cody Townsend of The Fifty Project fame, and many others—greeted us as we arrived.

We then spent the next two days with them on the slopes of Arolla testing the revamped QST collection, which includes four new, distinct profiles, each of which are designed to deliver exceptional performance across a range of terrain and skier preferences.

Here’s the rundown on each ski…
S/Lab QST Blank: Developed with input from Mountain Collective athletes such as Alexi Godbout, Stan Rey, and more, this hard-charging ski is engineered for unparalleled stability and responsiveness. Its modern shape and versatile 112-millimetre waist make the S/LAB QST Blank equally adept at big-mountain adventures, effortless powder surfing, and smoothly cutting through afternoon chop. With a slightly longer turn radius and a stiffer tail, the Blank skis slightly differently and a touch more directionally than its predecessor, but still provides the opportunity to slash turn on a dime, thus improving its overall performance.
QST 106: Designed for big mountain skiing, the rocker profile paired with Salomon’s Cork Damplifier 2.0 gives this ski a smooth stable feel in all conditions from powder to piste. With a brand-new construction and tail, it feels even more stable and apt to charge than its current iteration, but is still incredibly easy to ski, which will surely help the 106 maintain its reputation as one of the most all-encompassing skis on the market.
QST 100: The most versatile ski in the lineup, combining a modern, playful shape with the high-performance construction Salomon is known for. Ideal for all-mountain enthusiasts who want one ski to do it all. This new model replaces the QST 98, and absolutely rips. Whether you’re looking to open it up on the groomed with long, arcing turns at high-speed, or get your zig-zag on in tighter spaces, the QST 100 can and will truly do it all.
QST 94: This piste-forward ski thrives where all-mountain and freeride meet, with a 94-millimetre waist for a versatile mountain experience. The narrowest of the QSTs, this ski felt most at home on the groomed, where it gripped and ripped hard-packed corduroy, but was still nimble and playful enough to excel in lower to mid-angle off-piste terrain.

Each model in the QST collection is built with premium materials and a forward-thinking design to cater to a wide spectrum of skier preferences. So whether you’re carving groomers, exploring backcountry powder, or enjoying the versatility of mixed terrain, the QST line offers a ski that meets your needs.
