After 19 years with Salomon, Rubens has signed with Atomic Skis and Picture Organic Clothing, which he calls a breath of fresh air. Like most things do, his relationship with Salomon ran its course, and Rubens is beyond excited to now put more energy into helping develop and refine his new partners' products, namely the Atomic Backland line of skis. Over the past few years, he’s also become a farmer, and discusses the process of finding and buying land for First Light Farm in his home base of Revelstoke, B.C., along with much more.
