FRESHTIVAL PREVIEW

Freshtival, Canada’s longest running freeski film festival, and the brainchild of Fresh Skis, kicks off tomorrow at the Globe Cinema in Calgary, Alberta.

 
Over the course of the next three days, some of the best ski films of 2018, including Teton Gravity Research’s Far Out, Matchstick Productions’ All In and Level 1 Productions’ Zig Zag (along with bonus premieres of Matchstick Productions' The HOJI Movie on October 19th and 20th), will be delivering some serious stoke to skiers of all ages courtesy of their Canadian premieres.

In addition to the films, CAPOW Guiding’s Marty Schaffer will once again be hosting the Bakcountry Re-Fresher in conjunction with Avalanche Canada, which will serve as an important and informative opportunity to remind and educate you about how you can stay safe in the mountains this season.
 

Once the movies are done, the good folks at Ceili’s (conveniently located just down the street from the Globe Cinema) will keep the vibe alive by providing a venue to spout ski stories over a drink or two while dancing the night away following another sure to be successful instalment of Freshtival, which is proudly presented by Lake Louise Ski Resort, Oakley, Armada, Salomon, The North Face and Forecast.

As a result of all of the above, we’ll be front and centre in Calgary at the event, so stay tuned to our social channels (@forecastski) for updates, but in the meantime, here’s a look at the schedule of good times that will be going down…
