As Title Sponsor of the event, Allianz aligns itself with a sport that embodies preparation, commitment, and the courage to choose one’s own line. This partnership reflects Allianz’s brand positioning, “Y a vivir”, a philosophy rooted in encouraging people to pursue their ambitions with confidence, supported by a strong and reliable safety net.

Freeride athletes are not driven by fear, but by experience, responsibility, and trust, values that resonate deeply with Allianz’s vision. The partnership between Allianz and the FIS reinforces a shared ambition: to elevate freeride on the global sports stage while preserving its core values of respect for the mountains, personal responsibility, and progression.

Hosted on one of the most technical freeride venues in the Pyrenees, the event will bring together the world’s best freeride skiers and snowboarders in a powerful showcase of athletic excellence and mental strength.

A Historic First For Freeride On The World Stage
From February 1st to 6th, 2026, the renowned freeride venue of Ordino Arcalís, Andorra, will set the stage for a landmark moment in snow sports history: the first-ever Allianz FIS Freeride World Championships Andorra 2026 by Mammut. This inaugural championship, sanctioned by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), will bring together 65 elite freeriders from 17 nations to compete for the title of FIS Freeride World Champion.

The event marks a significant evolution in the sport, officially integrating freeride skiing and snowboarding into the FIS framework and elevating it to the highest level of international competition. Athletes will compete across four categories - Ski Men, Ski Women, Snowboard Men, and Snowboard Women—with one run each to deliver their most impressive line and claim a place in freeride history.

In addition to individual titles, the event will feature a Nations Ranking, introducing a medal-based team competition that rewards collective performance. Points will be awarded to the top five finishers in each category, with a maximum of 100 points for first place, contributing to a Medal Standing that will determine the overall top-performing nation.
