The North Face Peak 2 Park Virtual Competition Update

The North Face’s virtual ski and snowboard competition, the Peak2Park Virtual Competition, has been collecting footage from athletes across Europe, the United States and Canada who are looking for a chance to win part of a $65,000 USD prize purse full of cash and gear from The North Face, Rossignol, LOOK and GoPro. CLIF Bar is adding to the purse and has officially signed on to create two new prizing opportunities for Peak2Park competitors.

Registration is open for the 2017 season at peak2park.com, and video submissions are due early to mid-March for the All Mountain Open Series and the Park and Pipe Open Series.

King & Queen of the Mountain Award, presented by CLIF Bar – The King and Queen of the Mountain Award honors the all-around skier who can go big in the park, while also laying it down off-piste. The stand-out video submissions of one male and one female skier who participate in both the All Mountain Open Series (AMOS) and the Park and Pipe Open Series (PPOS) will receive $1,500 cash and one-year supply of Clif Bar product.

Mountain Maven Award, presented by CLIF Bar – CLIF Bar and The North Face partner to create a women’s specific Grand Prize given to one female Peak2Park competitor who has competed in either the Park and Pipe Open Series or the All Mountain Open Series. The winner will be chosen by a panel of professional freeski/snowboard female athletes for her standout performance, style and creativity. The Mountain Maven winner will accompany The North Face on an all expense paid trip to film and shred with pro athletes on The North Face brand team.

In addition, registered U.S. competitors who submit videos to Peak2Park will receive a box of Clif Bars.

The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series

Registered PPOS freeskiing participants are invited to compete in halfpipe, big air or slopestyle competitions by submitting footage of their best tricks filmed anywhere in North America and Europe. The final edit, no longer than 180 seconds, serves as the athlete’s competition run. The PPOS platform offers a public and a professional judging round for each discipline. The North Face All Mountain Open Series

Registered AMOS snowboarders and skiers in North America and Europe are invited to film 5-7 short clips utilizing features found at resorts or in the backcountry (outside of the terrain park) and edit them together to create one ‘dream run’, no longer than 180 seconds. The final edit serves as the athlete’s competition run. There will be a public voting window and a professional judging round to decide the AMOS Ski and Snowboard winners.
