A brand new freeski installment will kick off the annual Jamboree on Friday, February 12th in Quebec City. Red Bull ReDirect will see 20 invited athletes face-off for technical points using iconic urban features found in the heart of the historical city. Promising a high energy, nail biting competition; the event will be open to spectators of all ages and free of admission. Red Bull ReDirect will be the first major ski event of its kind to be held in Quebec City’s downtown core.

Red Bull ReDirect boasts the most innovative and challenging re-directional features in the sport today. Leveraging the city’s iconic urban environment, existing landmarks and urban infrastructures will be repurposed as the basis for the course in lieu of traditional scaffolding elements. This innovative approach will provide the top tier competitors with a truly unique and genuine riding terrain as well as provide spectators with a memorable show.

This invitational event will host 10 International Athletes, 6 amateurs and 4 wild cards participants selected from the Jamboree Stairsmaster. A jam format will be used to replicate a more authentic urban experience and to allow for more innovation and excitement. Wildcards will be announced in February, applications are and being accepted here.

Official list of athletes will be posted to http://www.redbull.ca/redirect in the coming weeks.
