PEAK PERFORMANCE LAUNCHES CANADIAN E-COMMERCE STORE

Peak Performance has launched its 2021 fall/winter collection in combination with its e-commerce store in Canada, making their assortment of high-quality, progressive Scandinavian active and casual wear available online to all Canadian consumers on a Canadian-centric platform for the first time. Boasting a presence in Canada since 2000 – which included select wholesale and franchise partners – Peak Performance saw a strong demand from Canadians to launch an e-commerce site in Canada. Feeling the connection between the active, adventurous lifestyles of the Swedish and Canadian consumer, increasing the brand’s footprint in Canada and allowing the latest nostalgia-inspired collection to be accessed more easily was a natural next step.

“Even though Canada is far away from Sweden, we can’t think of a country that feels closer to home—we love that many Canadians are passionate about the outdoors and spending time on the mountains year-round,” said Sara Molnar, Brand President. “Thanks to the launch of our new Canadian e-commerce capabilities, Canadians from coast to coast are now able to secure the latest Peak Performance gear for whatever adventure they are craving, regardless of where they live. Our new FW ‘21 collection pays tribute to our company’s past but is reimagined for today’s skier, and we're thrilled to be able to serve many more Canadians now, especially in locations where we do not have stores.”

Paying tribute to its history, Peak Performance’s FW ‘21 collection blends together vintage-90’s styles and highly-technical design, and no matter the local weather, the newly launched e-commerce site will enable people from every corner of Canada to secure the items that best suit their lifestyle and personal style. For example, Peak Performance’s new Vibe 95 Jacket was inspired by stories from customers who have been wearing their favourite ski garments for decades, and consequently revisits a popular design from 25-years ago. The hero piece of the Casual Collection, the jacket is oversized, layering friendly, made with 100% recycled fibers, and is wind and water resistant – perfect for Canadian guys living in a range of cities from Vancouver, British Columba to St. John’s, Newfoundland. For her, the casual hero piece is definitely the Enviro jacket, a premium down jacket with a modern silhouette, engineered for an active lifestyle. Made from recycled polyester and dyed in a way that requires significantly less water and chemicals, the jacket is sourced in a sustainable way without compromising on functionality or comfort.

Back to the basics, Peak Performance’s FW ’21 Ski Collection was developed with the expertise and feedback from professional skiers, and is bound to be popular with adventure-lovers across the country, from Banff, Alberta to Mont Tremblant, Quebec. Celebrating free ride athletes who push the limits of their equipment, the collection welcomes their most advanced ski garments with the R&D Shielder concept. Developed for professional skiers that will compromise on neither protection nor performance, the products offer outstanding protection and mobility with 3-layer Gore-Tex® Pro. Part of Peak Performance’s most advanced ski concept ever, the R&D Shielder Stretch Jacket will be released in a limited edition of 200 numbered pieces. This season’s ski collection focuses on modularity, meaning Canadian skiers can mix and match the sizes and colours of jackets and pants to find the combination that works best for them.

Rounding out the FW '21 full collection available online to Canadians, this season’s active and essential line celebrates the anniversary of the iconic Frost Series. Offered in more colours and styles than ever before, this series is known for its lightness, warmth and versatility. Being as relevant today as when first released a decade ago, the Frost Series manifests Peak Performance’s pride in making high-quality garments with longevity that never goes out of style or season. Meanwhile, their new Vislight line offers light and functional jackets and pants for both men and women. Ensuring that everyone wearing their garments is standing out against the snow’s crisp, white canvas, Peak Performance’s FW ‘21 color palette ranges from bright technicolor reds and yellow to on-trend purple, orange and grey – all of which is sure to make a statement from Toronto’s Bloor Street to Calgary’s Stephen Avenue.
