For the fourth year in a row, Oakley Week is returning to Whistler Blackcomb for five days’ worth of events and good times.
The proceedings, all of which are open to the public, kick off tomorrow and run through Sunday, February 24th, beginning with on-hill goggle demos (in which you can sample Oakley’s world-renowned Prizm lenses), a Prizm Lab in the village (where you can learn all about the technology), and the Golden Ticket Contest (which offers you the chance to score free products from Oakley… follow Whistler Blackcomb and Oakley’s social media feeds for details on how you can win), all which will be taking place throughout the week.
On Thursday, the Pro Jump Shoot will be going down from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Blackcomb Terrain Park, which will feature members of Team Oakley showcasing some seriously high flying action, for your viewing pleasure. Stay tuned to @WhistlerParks for more info. And after that’s all said and done, the Oakley Week Kickoff Party will be taking place on Thursday night at Maxx Fish, where you can rub shoulders with some of the world’s top skiers and snowboarders after watching them strut their stuff during the shoot, while taking advantage of multiple opportunities to win free swag.
And on Friday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., an all-new addition to Oakley Week, the Snake Run, will be the name of the game near the Blackcomb Terrain Park, where a skiercross-style track brimming with custom features will await you, alongside Sean Pettit, who is scheduled to be on hand to partake in the session.
If you happen to be in the Whistler area, come join the fun, but if not, don’t fret, as Forecast will be front and centre in Whistler all week, so be sure to follow our Instagram (@forecastski) for daily updates on the event.
