FREERIDE WORLD TOUR ORDINO ARCALIS PREVIEW

It’s that time of the season again when points mean everything on the Freeride World Tour (FWT): world title race, qualification for the finals in Verbier, Switzerland, and the 2020 season. With all of this on the line, the stage is set for what is sure to be a highly contested competition in the Pyrenean freeride capital of Ordino-Arcalís, Andorra during the March 2nd - 8th weather window for the fourth stop of the 2019 FWT.

Big performances in Fieberbrunn, Austria have solidified the leader board, with Markus Eder, Victor De Le Rue, Arianna Tricomi and Marion Haerty at the top of their respective categories. However, loads of stiff competition and points-hungry athletes are close behind, and local wildcard Thomas Rich will surely be looking to put on a show in front of his home crowd. In addition to the main event, the Freeride Junior Tour El Dorado 3* competition will be taking place on March 2nd - 3rd. More info on that can be found by clicking here and here.

Along with the highly anticipated showdown high up the mountain, fans and spectators alike will benefit from a full schedule of events throughout the week. The official ceremony at Plaça Major in Ordino will kick things off on March 1st, and the atmosphere will be buzzing as always in the event village in Arcalís on March 2nd - 3rd. Activities and events will include a free ski test and the FWT Party in Ordino on Saturday, March 2nd.

“Crunch Time” on the 2019 Freeride World Tour in Andorra is coming up fast, so be sure to keep an eye on freerideworldtour.com and FWT’s social media channels for competition updates and rider news as comp day approaches.
