"Rossignol’s Blackops Sender Ti was everything and more that I look for in a ski. At 106 millimetres underfoot in the 187 length, it excelled in softer snow, chewed up everyday resort crud with ease, and both initiated and held a turn like a GS ski on piste. The flex pattern has a progressive, springy feel—the more you compress the ski, the more you get out of it at the end of a turn. Typically, I have found that there's always some compromise between the playfulness of a ski and its stability at speed. But this was not the case here. For an advanced skier looking for a ski that can and will do it all, Rossignol absolutely nailed it with the Sender Ti." —Kelley Humpherys

Born and raised in the shadow of Red Mountain Resort, Kelley Humpherys grew up ski racing in the fabled Red Mountain Racers program before switching to competitive big mountain skiing in his teens—so you can rest assured that he rips. Now an electrician by trade, Humpherys still lights it up on the hill, and is partial to a traditionally cambered, directional ski with a bit of early rise rocker around the 108-millimetre-underfoot range.
