“The Rossignol Blackops Holyshred is a perfect stepping stone of a ski for any intermediate skier who’s looking to develop into a bonafide all mountain rider. The thing I liked most about it was the consistency of the flex through the tip and tail, which felt in tune with what was going on underfoot, and allowed for a lot of feedback to the skier. It excelled in everything from low to mid-angle terrain, hardpack, tight trees and bumps, and responded well to minor adjustments in technique, which is a great tool for learning, and would help anyone dial in their skills before moving on up to a bigger, stiffer and more rockered pow ski.” –Sean Ennis

Age: 24 / Height: 5’7” / Weight: 145 lbs / Occupation: Tree Planter
As the youngest and therefore most spry of our testers, Sean Ennis likes tackling steep and technical lines, smashing bumps and ripping groomers, all in an effort to make the most out of any type of terrain and condition. A tree planter in the summer and part-time freeski coach at Red Mountain Resort in the winter, Ennis spends a lot of time touring, and rode a fully rockered, 118-millimetre-underfoot ski in a 186-centimetre length for the majority of last winter, but isn’t opposed to the odd love affair with a flat-tailed directional charger.
