SALOMON UNVEILS THE S/PRO SUPRA BOA SKI BOOT

Salomon, maker of premium winter sports equipment, has unveiled a new alpine boot for fall 2023: S/PRO Supra BOA. By infusing the brand’s best-selling the best fitting, most customizable high performance driven medium volume boot ever. A complete range of men’s and women’s sizes and flexes will be available in fall 2023.

The new S/PRO Supra BOA combines the fit and performance features that were refined for the award-winning S/PRO Alpha boot such as 3D Instep Shell, Custom Tongue and Custom Shell HD, with the dialed in performance of the BOA Fit System, a new EXOWRAP construction, and the category leading 100mm last. The result? Best in class fit, customization and performance in a boot laser focused on the most popular boot last in the industry.

BOA FIT SYSTEM
Salomon worked with BOA to completely redesign the shell of the Salomon S/PRO Supra in order to integrate an alpine-specific BOA Fit System and create a 4-point tightening system that replaces the need for forefoot buckles. This technology offers a more comprehensive wrap of the forefoot, minimizing downward pressure and reducing the typical fit and performance issues that arise from four buckle boots. In addition, the system provides increased heel hold, the ability to fine-tune fit, millimeter by millimeter in both directions, and comes with a BOA Lifetime Guarantee.

“The BOA Fit System offers an unrivaled boot responsiveness and fit,” says Chris McKearin, Salomon’s Senior Manager, Alpine Category and Winter Sports Marketing. “The combination of BOA and Custom Shell HD will unlock a new level of customization that has never been available before.”

Designed and tested to withstand the rigors of alpine skiing, BOA Fit System with H+i1 dial platform (dial, lace and guides) used on the S/PRO Supra BOA is strong enough to hold a weight of 200 kg, approximately the same weight as 1, 4-person gondola.

EXOWRAP SYSTEM
EXOWRAP shell construction features a dedicated boot design that offers a smooth and linear wrapping of the lower foot area with homogenous contact points. This creates much less torque and downward pressure on a skier’s foot, offering greater comfort and fit. When combined with the EXOWRAP latex foam liner, the system delivers a more precise foothold, giving the skier effortless transfer of power and responsiveness in all conditions and terrain.

"These technologies provide more uniform fit tension and accurate wrapping of the skier's feet,” said McKearin. “The S/PRO SUPRA BOA will change the skiing experience with better response and no sacrifice in comfort."
