The Nordica Santa Ana 97 shone across the two very different sets of snow conditions I skied them in last winter. One morning began with icy, grooved runs, and this ski was eager to turn while handling the variable terrain effortlessly. As the snow softened, it tackled quick moguls and steeper slopes with ease, and by the end of the day, it remained stable in heavy slush. On another cold day with consistently icy conditions, this ski made the experience enjoyable, holding its edge and executing quick, easy turns through tight terrain. I found the Santa Ana to be impressively responsive, as it translated energy into smooth, maneuverable turns, and its versatility and dynamic handling would make it a fantastic choice for intermediate to advanced skiers who enjoy adventurous skiing experiences. —Jennifer McLean
