When I first laid eyes on the Nordica Enforcer 99, I knew it was going to put a smile on my face. And after testing it, I knew I had found my new favourite ski. I have a tendency to prefer more traditional-feeling skis, and I instantly felt right at home on this sleek set of planks. Nordica doesn’t go crazy on their shapes, with less aggressive sidecuts and moderate early rise that give the brand’s skis a longer effective edge and more contact with the snow. This translates into the Enforcer being an incredibly solid and stable ski with tenacious edge grip, and a true performer in all conditions. For me, it’s the ultimate daily driver, with an emphasis on drive. It powered through the nastiest crud, carved up the hardest ice, mashed the biggest bumps, stomped landings with ease, and still has a wide enough waste to venture into the pow. It’s an absolute workhorse of a ski that will never let you down. At 99 millimetres underfoot, a heavier or more aggressive skier might find it a bit narrow for the deeper days, but for nearly everything else out there on the mountain, it’s tough to top. —Dylan Strelioff
