The Line Optic 104 is a solid, reliable and predictable ski that won’t let you down or throw any surprises at you. At 104-millimetres underfoot, it was playful in powder and big mountain terrain, with a moderate early rise in the tip and tail that helped it stay afloat while providing some relief on harder landings. It was stable through mixed snow and crud, grabbing and holding an edge when needed, and I didn’t feel bucked or thrown around when I pushed it. It has a smooth, even flex that led to a very forgiving and consistent feeling on snow, and it performed well for me in all types of conditions. If you’re the type of skier looking to crank it up every turn of every run, you might find the Optic a little less energetic, but if you like to cruise through your ski day with no big curveballs, then this fully capable ski is your captain. —Dylan Strelioff
