The K2 Mindbender 99 Ti is a versatile and lively all-mountain ski. The directional sidecut (wider tip and thinner tail) combined with a relatively narrow waist made it easy to maneuver in all types of terrain. The stiffer flex from a sheet of titanal provided stability at speed, and its poppy feel helped it transition quickly from edge-to-edge. Inspired by the freeride capabilities of its big brothers, the Mindbender 108 Ti and Mindbender 116 C, this ski likes to be ridden fast and was comfortable in steep terrain on firm or variable snow. I was impressed by its ability to hold an edge at high speed on both the groomed and through choppy hardpack in off-piste terrain. The Mindbender is a great option for someone looking for a supportive and capable daily driver that will take them all over the mountain. —Jay Maloney
