This ought to be the easiest review I could possibly write, because the Head Kore 111 is the best ski I've ever skied. I’ve been a fan of the Kore lineup since its inception, though there was a noticeable hole between the original 105 and 117. Head filled that hole with the 111, and absolutely nailed it. This aggressive, big mountain-focused ski felt like an extension of my insatiable lust for charging, as the harder I skied it, the more I got out of it. It’s incredibly stiff, and very light, which encouraged long days of slaying no matter the conditions or location. And it’s worth noting that despite my fondness for traditional mount points, I preferred mounting this ski a little farther forward than recommended, as I found doing so added maneuverability and allowed me to maintain speed through tight, technical terrain. As a daily driver, it never let me down, so whether I'm riding the chair, or slapping skins on, the Kore 111 will always be my first choice. —John Truden
