The Head Kore 104 Ti W was my favourite ski I tested. It was wide enough to handle fresh snow, which allowed me to pop and coast through freeride terrain, and its level of stability provided enough resistance to handle the chop on less than ideal days. This updated version is consistent with the hard-charging style Head’s Kore lineup is so well-known for, but what I liked best about it was the more forgiving tip and tail made it feel a bit more playful than its predecessor. I enjoyed it most on the days following a storm, while finding hidden pockets of leftover powder to slash and taking advantage of the ski’s stability and turn radius to arc through the left-behind tracks of days past. I found the Kore almost drew me towards natural features throughout the mountain, which showcased the amount of creativity this ski permits. It’s a perfect option for anyone from an intermediate to expert skier who’s looking for one ski to take them everywhere, without sacrificing aggression or fun. —Jenna Williamson
