The all-new Nordica Unleashed 98 W is an unbelievably fun ski that excelled in all types of terrain. From tight and loose trees, to groomers, to moguls, to side hits, to jumps and rails in the park, I had a grand old time anywhere and everywhere I took it. I felt it performed great on both new and old snow, but best on fresh corduroy and spring slush, and it was much more stable at speed than other twin-tipped skis. As a result, it also skied switch incredibly well, and I found that the early rise in the tip and tail allowed for easier turn initiation, which would be beneficial for a lightweight intermediate to advanced skier who’s looking for a user-friendly but performance-enhancing set of planks. —TEGAN BONNET
