The Nordica Unleashed 108 is like Thanksgiving dinner, with all the fixings. With carbon and fibreglass layering, and a custom-tuned metal sheet just to throw a little extra gravy in there, Nordica really paid attention to detail on both the flex and shape of this ski. The smaller early rise with a taller tip and tail gives it all-terrain rocker ability and float, while maximizing the effective edge and base. Its subtle camber allows the ski to find its full arc size early in the flex of the turn, which gave it incredible stability and a solid feeling anywhere I took it. It’s wide enough to not feel lacking in deep snow, but light and agile enough to throw around billy-goating, and has the right amount of meat on the drumstick to stomp big airs. And when I laid this ski down on hard pack, it railed like Tony Montana. Simply put, in this width range, the Unleashed 108 is without question one of the best skis I’ve ever had the pleasure of being on. —DYLAN STRELIOFF
