The Head Kore 97 W is an extremely adaptable ski that performed well in any and all conditions. I was fortunate enough to ski it on a beautiful powder day, and found it to be both playful and responsive with great flotation, despite my initial concern that the 170-centimetre length I tested it in and its 97-millimetre waist would potentially make it feel too short or narrow in the deep stuff. As a result, it also mowed down choppy moguls, and to my added delight, carved surprisingly well on the groomed. So if you’re an intermediate to advanced skier who likes to ski everywhere on the mountain, and are in the market for one ski that can do it all, then the Kore 97 W is for you. —ANDREA MCCORMICK
