If an all-wheel drive Ferrari and a CF-18 Hornet fighter jet had a baby, it would be the Head Kore 111. This ski was an absolute treat. It’s both light and nimble, but stiff, powerful and fast AF, with a tail that has a ton of pop. It provided the ultimate in off-piste performance by being easy to manoeuvre in the steeps, while floating through pow and powering through choppy conditions like nobodies’ business. It was incredibly fun to hop-turn, ollie, slash and charge, and would be ideal for an advanced skier who likes to go full send, or an intermediate who wants to get some with a rock solid off-piste performer. —JAMIE RIZZUTO
