The Fischer Ranger 102 is a perfect pair of planks for an intermediate to advanced skier who’s looking to ski sunny resort laps with the family in any type of snow conditions. The width and flat camber make it a nimble ski, which allowed it to excel in soft snow, trees and bumps, however I found that I most enjoyed it on the corduroy. Initiating turns was almost effortless, and I felt the flex pattern wasn’t overly aggressive, which made for a nice, forgiving finish. I’m also a big fan of the simplistic graphic theme that Fischer went with for this ski, and throughout the rest of this year’s Ranger series. —KELLEY HUMPHERYS
