As its name suggests, the Faction Dancer 99 is a ski to take to the ball. It has a lightweight and playful feel, but when put on edge it was very responsive to more aggressive turning in everything from corduroy to chop to spring corn. The sidecut kept it active throughout the turn, allowing for quick transitions both on and off-piste. The Dancer’s snappy feel was very fun in bumps and jumps, which will give you a bit of pep in your step. It’s a unisex ski that’s not overly stiff, and the progressive flex pattern will allow intermediate to advanced female or male skiers to lead the dance, rather than being pushed around. —Sally Steeves
