The Dynastar M-Pro 98 W impressed me with its incredible versatility. It’s truly a one-quiver ski. Whether carving on groomers, floating through powder, or charging through crud, this ski delivered. In powder, it offered a surprising amount of float for its width, was powerful yet surfy and playful, and would be easy for skiers with a hard-charging attitude to control. It blasted through heavier chopped-up snow without getting tossed around, and maintained stability and confidence even in messy conditions. On groomers, it held an edge beautifully, gripping firm snow without being overly aggressive. In the trees, its nimble, quick-to-pivot feel made weaving through the tight glades at Red Mountain Resort effortless, while in the steeps and technical terrain it felt solid, predictable and agile when in its sweet spot. Spacious off-piste slopes invited me to really open it up, making big, fast and smooth turns with ease. Energetic yet composed, the M-Pro 98 W is a dependable all-mountain performer for any day on the resort. —Laurie Frankcom
