The Dynastar M-Free 112 is a super rewarding ski that loves to charge through variable snow and pow, but is still very precise when you need it to be. It’s a dynamic, input-driven ski that’s on the stiffer side of things (so don’t let it take you for a ride), but once I found its sweet spot it really came alive. It was fast, incredibly stable and happiest in spacious, off-piste terrain that allowed me to open it up, and a ton of fun in Red Mountain Resort’s steep and narrow trees. It’s obviously not designed for carving groomers, but it did the trick on hard pack, where I was able to put it on edge with ease and blast down to the lift. I would recommend the M-Free 112 to a strong intermediate to expert skier who’s got the legs to get the most out of this ski, and while it was a riot at Red, I can’t wait to try it at a resort like Whistler Blackcomb with ample alpine terrain. —Matias Olivares
