The Dynastar M-Free 108 is an absolute killer, and made me want to relive my old glory days of freestyle skiing. This advanced-to-expert level ski is stiff yet playful, smooth yet bouncy, and an all-around mountain slasher. I found the waist to be quite stiff, which allowed it to hold an edge on groomers and blast through chunder, while its flexible and playful tip and tail provided the aura of surfing a perfect wave. The M-Free 108 can truly be used all over the resort, and though I felt it performed best in heavy storm systems and post-storm snow, its ability to quickly dart through trees and carve past crowds on groomers made for an excellent ride in any type of conditions and terrain. This ski would make for a great west coast daily driver, and based on its profile, I would confidently give it not one, but two green lights as a backcountry touring setup. —Jack Lesnik
