The Blizzard Canvas 118 is massive powder tool that plays light. Don’t let the 118-millimetre waist fool you—this is a big ski, but it absolutely did not handle like one. Blizzard nailed the flex profile here; the softer tip and tail provided amazing and effortless float in deep powder, while the stiff platform underfoot ensured I still had plenty of control and stability when conditions got challenging or choppy. But its standout feature was the feel. For its size, this ski maintained an incredibly light and playful personality, which completely eliminated that heavy, sluggish feeling one can often get with fat skis.
