The Blizzard Anomaly 94 surprised me, to say the least. True to the Blizzard nature of stiff, groomer legends with vigorous charging ability, this ski has so much more to it. As an aggressive, 5’11”, 175-pound skier who has been on skis since I could walk, the Anomaly definitely allowed for some serious speed and deep, confident carving. But what surprised me most was how nimble it turned out to be. It possesses the ability to stop on a dime, made quick, sharp turns when I needed it to, and still performed well off-piste when the occasion presented itself. I have full confidence in this ski’s ability to get anyone through any type of terrain, although at 94 millimetres underfoot, you may want to consider a wider option when a storm brings more than 10 centimetres of fresh snow. The Anomaly 94 is fast, agile, and perhaps the most fun in spring skiing conditions, when there’s quick ice in the morning and a beautiful layer of soft cream cheese in the afternoon. —Jack Lesnik
