Seldom have I gotten on a pair of unfamiliar skis and felt confidence at high speed like I did on the all-new Blizzard Anomaly 102. Words like "stable" and "predictable" seem more like sought-for descriptors after a few get-togethers with a Tinder match, but are also apt to describe my first date with this ski. Edge-to-edge, the power transmission was steady throughout the turn, and the subtle hint of early rise in the tip is a well-engineered touch that prevented that digging feeling at the apex of a carve—the Anomaly’s charm in my opinion. So if you want a ski that’s ready to get-up-and-go for the handful of times a year you can still make it out between carting the kids to hockey practice, this ski is truly an anomaly in its class. —Nicholas Lampard
