Cats out of the bag! I tested the Armada ARW 106 across a wide range of terrain and snow conditions, from spring corn to deep powder, and never found myself wishing for a different ski. Its surfy personality made every run enjoyable, and I was completely pawsitive about reaching for it day after day. The ARW 106 excelled off-piste, particularly in trees and moguls, and in Red Mountain Resort’s tight glades and sun-softened bumps, it felt quick, maneuverable, and nimbly-bimbly, allowing for snappy turns and confident line choices. But powder days were where this ski truly came alive, especially in steeper tree runs, where it purred through soft snow and encouraged playful line choices. On groomers, it remained fun and predictable, though some chatter appeared at higher speeds. In steep, icy terrain, it inspired confidence when skied with control, favouring a smooth approach and smeary turns rather than clawing its way down the mountain with aggressive, hard-edged carves.  Lightweight and versatile, with a moderate turn radius and softer flex, the ARW 106 is the cat's meow for intermediate to advanced female skiers seeking a fun, energetic ski for soft snow, trees, and feature-filled terrain. —Kate Lesnik
