At the dawn of 2022, Fischer, longtime purveyors of some of the most trusted and high-performance skis on the market, announced the limited release of a new-and-improved version of their popular, all-mountain freeride line of skis: the Ranger.

Available in 116, 108, 102, 96 and 90-millimetre waist widths—with the latter three coming in two different colour options—the Ranger series is designed to provide skiers with strong and stable but playful and drifty performance on everything from carving groomers to cutting through crud and floating in pow, and was built with sustainable materials to reduce environmental impact.

Now that this exciting collection is widely available, we decided to team up with our friends at Fischer’s Canadian distributor, Lanctot Sports, for our second contest of the fall, in which we’re offering one lucky skier the chance to score a pair of whichever Ranger model they’d like, pending availability.

To enter for your chance to win, head to and track down the answer to the following question: how many months of collaboration between athletes, ski engineers and shop employees went into the development of the all-new, revamped Ranger series? Once you’ve discovered it, follow @fischerski, @lanctot_sports and @forecastski on Instagram, then direct message @forecastski with the answer, at which point we’ll toss all of the usernames who sent us the correct one into a hat to randomly draw the winner. Note that you must live in Canada to be eligible, and that the contest will close during the month of December. On behalf of everyone at Forecast, Fischer and Lanctot Sports, good luck!
