Fall has officially arrived, which means winter is right around the corner, so it’s time for us to preview our first issue of the year, which is currently shipping to ski shops and mailboxes across Canada.

In celebration of his incredible life, and to honour his memory and inspiring legacy in one of the most meaningful ways that we can, on the cover is Kai Smart at Momentum Camps (which is owned and operated by his parents, John & Julia Smart) at Whistler Blackcomb, B.C., as shot by Ilanna Barkusky. Kai, a cherished member of the Whistler and freeskiing community, was tragically taken from us far too soon after being caught in avalanche this past spring in Japan.
