THE POWELL MOVEMENT - STEELE SPENCE

Olympic judge Steele Spence has a storied history in the ski industry. As part of the second wave of new school skiers and one who had a knack for greasing the burliest of rails, Spence’s urban game was top notch before most people knew that street skiing was a thing. When skiing professionally wasn’t an option anymore, he moved on to designing skis and products for his former sponsor, 4FRNT. But the life of a desk jockey was not for Spence, so he quickly found himself in a new role, as a judge. Countless events later, he was one of the men in the booth at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, and since with judging comes criticism, listen to Spence address everything surrounding the scoring at the Games on the latest episode of The Powell Movement’s podcast.
