THE POWELL MOVEMENT - SCOTT GAFFNEY

On the latest episode of The Powell Movement's podcast, Mike Powell sits down with the legendary Scott Gaffney of Matchstick Productions. As the director of some of the most memorable ski movies in history, Gaffney is a sherpa in the world of elite athletes. He carries a 40-pound backpack through some of the more remote places in the world, all in the name of “getting the shot”. Like many before him, the ski dream was only achieved through hardships that a lot of us don’t know. Sleeping in cars, taking showers in local sprinkler systems and doing whatever it takes to make it. And for Gaffney, “making it” became a sort of groundhog day of filming, editing and producing rad ski movies. Hear the whole story on the podcast below.
